"The Fine Print"...

Please review these important details to learn more about our policies. You will find useful information regarding all aspects of our services:

Phone hours are 10am -- 5pm, every day except Sundays and holidays. You may get an answering machine. Please leave a message and you will receive a call back within 24 hours.

Tours are by appointment only. Tour appointments are scheduled between 11:00am -- 4:00pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays except for holidays.

Baths and Private Training are by appointment only. Baths and Private Training appointments are scheduled between 9:00am -- 6:00pm every day except Sundays and holidays.

Arrival and departure times. Arrivals and departures are by appointment only from 9am – 6pm every day except Sundays and holidays. There are no exceptions. This policy is strictly enforced to maintain the high standards of care of all our canine guests. We sincerely regret if disruptions to your travel schedule necessitate an extra night's stay and possibly another day's charge at Canine Comfort Corner, but trust you will understand and respect that we cannot absorb this disruption into scheduling on our end without compromising the care of the other dogs.

Your appointment. The time scheduled for your appointment is reserved for you. Please call if you are going to be more than a few minutes late so that we may reschedule. If you arrive beyond that "window" without calling ahead, it is likely we will have returned to other chores as part of caring for the dogs in our charge and may not be available.

Scheduled closures. We are closed on Sundays and all major holidays (New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). This means we are here to take care of the dogs that have already been checked-in, but we do not schedule appointments to check-in new dogs or check-out dogs. We also do not schedule appointments for touring, bathing, or private lessons.

Intact dogs and bitches: We do not accept intact dogs or bitches older than 6 months of age.
Deposit / 72-hour cancellation policy: deposit of $50 is required to hold your reservation. Any balance due is payable upon departure. Deposit is fully refunded when reservation is cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival time.
Arrivals and departures are by appointment only. This scheduled time is reserved for you; we ask that you notify us, as a courtesy, if you need to change your appointment.
Departure past 2pm is another day's charge.

What to bring --
Proof of vaccinations: bring proof of up-to-date DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations.

A note about Kennel Cough: Bordetella, or kennel cough, is a very common and contagious illness that is difficult to prevent or contain. It transmits both by air (coughing, sneezing) and through contact with saliva (toys, water bowls, floor surfaces). Vaccines offer some prevention but are not 100% effective. With an incubation period of 6-10 days, a dog may already be a carrier of bordetella when he arrives although he is not yet symptomatic. When an outbreak occurs we make every possible effort to minimize your dog's exposure, but isolation and disinfection at this point are only somewhat helpful. We also call or otherwise warn owners prior to drop-off; however, we cannot be held responsible for the timing of an outbreak or for making alternate arrangements, and we are in no way obligated to refund payment for your dog's stay with us or for your vet bill (please see the boarding contract for more details).

Your pet's own food: same as at home. Bring enough for the duration plus couple of extra meals.
Toys, etc.: bring anything from home that your dog would like, such as blankets, toys, and special treats.
